The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah in a brief visit to staff of the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation has revealed that the government through the Ministry of Finance have agreed for 50% increment of salary for all staff of the institution.
Chernor Bah said for him to succeed as a minister, he would like to peg his steadfast commitment and service to the entire staff and management of SLBC; adding that positive transformation of SLBC happened to be part of his mainstay agenda.
He mentioned that one of the main tasks of his leadership was to work with the staff and management of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation.
“President Bio informs me that he wants to see SLBC transforms into a 24hours broadcasting channel with sufficient contents and news items,” Minister Bah said.
He furthered that in a letter addressed to the Director General of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation by the Minister of Finance officially increased fifty percent of salary rates of the entire staff.
