43 years old Pa Alimamy Sesay alias white boy a Chief, thirty-three years old Amadu Sesay a Farmer, twenty-seven years old Alie Jihad Fofanah a Fisherman and Forty-two years Mohamed Fofanah a Driver made their first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on six count charges including Conspiracy to commit Wounding with intent contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence on a date unknown between the 8th to 30th March 2023 at Jorpoh Farm in the Waterloo judicial district headquarters in the western area in Freetown conspired and together with other persons unknown to commit Wounding with intent to main on count two, three, four, five, and six the accused persons on the said date and place maliciously wounded Edward Sesay, Thomas Sesay, Solomon Bami Sesay, Mohamed Tarawalie, and Sulaiman Bangura with intent to Main them.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused persons no plea was taken.
Counsel representing the accused persons A. Koroma and C. Kamara was about to apply for bail for and on behalf of the accused persons when Magistrate Mark Ngegba told Lawyer Koroma that he will not grant bail because there were two human Ears tendered in court and the seriousness of the offences charged.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Ngegba refused bail and send the accused persons to the male correctional centre in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to the 27th of June 2023 for further hearing. Assistant Superintendent of Police Ibrahim S Mansaray is prosecuting the matter.
