21yrs Old John Williams aka Gaza, 41yrs old Monday Okechuku, 24yrs old Mustapha Kalokoh, 31yrs old Mustapha Julius Jusu aka Fisherman and 20yrs old Peter Bindi made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, Robbery with Aggravation contrary to section 23 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916 as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of Act No16 of 1971 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 42 of the offences against the person Act 1861
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday the 7th of December 2021 all the accused persons at the Abu Quaters, reservation, kakua Chiefdom, Bo the Southern Region of the Republic of Sierra Leone conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit Robbery with Aggravation.
On count two at the same place and date being armed with Matches and crowbar, robbed Fatmata Yemma Idriss one twenty four carats golden necklace valued at five million Leones(5,000,000) one coloured Lenovo laptop computer valued four million five hundred thousand Leones(4,500,000) and other items with a physical cash of nine million Leones(9,000,000) all to the total sum of thirty six million Leones(36,000,000) at the time of such Robbery the accused persons did use personal violence to the said Fatmata Yemma Idriss and on count three the accused persons assaulted the said complainant in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
The charges were read to the accused persons and no plea was taken
The accused persons were unrepresented by a legal guarantour
However, Magistrate Sahr Keikura refused bail and sent both accused persons to the male correctional center in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to the 21st February 2022 for further hearing
