Santigie Fofanah, Joseph Sandi and Pateh Bah made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Keikura of Pademba road court in Freetown on three counts charges to wit conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to Law, Larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act 1916 and receiving stolen goods contrary to section 33 (1) of the larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet it was alleged that sometimes in January 2021 at No. 11 Taylor Lewis drive juba Lumley the western area in Freetown conspired together with Joseph Sandi to commit a felony to with Larceny did steal one digital camera value four hundred united state dollars ($400) equivalent to four million Leones (4,000,000), one bottle perfume valued two hundred united states dollars ($200) equivalent to two million Leones (2,000,000), one gold ring valued one thousand united state dollars ($1000) equivalent to ten million Leones (10,000,000) One battery charger valued one hundred and fifty united state dollars ($150) equivalent to one million five hundred thousand Leones (1,500,000) one gold bracelet valued four hundred united states dollars ($400) equivalent to four million Leones (4,000,000) and a fiscal cash of four million Leones (4,000,000) property of Daniel Ojeah, Henry Williams and Leslie Nicols.
The third accused person involved in the third offence said that he did received one gold ring valued one thousand United States dollars ($1000) equivalent to ten million Leones (10,000,000) belongs to the said complainants.
Prosecution Witness number four Sergeant 1006 Alie Saidu Kamara attached at Lumley police station as exhibit clerk noted that his duty as an exhibit clerk is to register cases and record all files and exhibit.
He continued that whilst on duty on the 1st March 2021 inspector Alfred Conteh brought in two black trousers, one old stainless wrist watch as an exhibit and he registered the said items as serial number 16/2021 and it was in the custody of the police which was marked as exhibit k and exhibit h1-2.
On their first appearance the first accused person pleaded guilty on all count charges and all accused person have made sixteen appearances before Magistrate Keikura.
Magistrate Keikura adjoined the matter for the sentence of the first accused person
Lawyer Samuel Bangura representing the second accused person also asked for an adjourned date for him to peruse the file.
The matter was adjourned to the 28 July 2021.
