35yrs-old Kalukoro Marrah made her first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 6th November 2021 at Lower Allen Town Wellington the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded Ansu Mohamed Mansaray with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and Assaulted the said complainant.
The charges was read to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty
Lawyer representing the accused person M. Sheriff applied for bail on behalf of the accused person pursuant to section 79 (2) of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 that the accused person is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction that he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on his behalf and he is not a flight risk.
However, Magistrate Daboh refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown and matter adjourned to the 1st December 2021, and Sergeant 7891 M.M. George prosecuting the matter.
