3 Remanded For Attacking UNDP Driver

Three accused persons including Skeka Jalloh, Sheka Fofanah and Mohamed orFullah Conteh on Tuesday 22nd November 2022, made their third appearances before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No 2, Pademba Road, Freetown, for attacking and robbing Victor Lebbie driver working for the Supervisor at United Nations Development Program. 

According to the charge sheet on count 1, all three accused Sheka Jalloh, Sheka Fofanah and Mohamed Fullah Conteh with four counts ranging from conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, robbery with aggravation contrary to Section 23 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916, as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of Act No. 16 of 1971, wounding contrary to Section 20 of the offences against the Person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the offence against the Person Act 1861.

According to the charge sheet on count 1 all three accused on Thursday 27th October 2022, at Malama Thomas Street, Freetown, conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a felony to wit robbery with aggravation. Count 2 state that all 3 accused on the same date and place being armed with a knife robbed Victor Lebbie the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars, property of the said Victor Lebbie. 

 On count 3 all accused on the same date and place maliciously wounded Victor Lebbie.

And count 4 states that all the three accused on the same date and place assaulted Victor Lebbie in a manner thereby occassioning him actual bodily

Meawhile Magistrate Tucker refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 29th November 2022.

 The accused person was sent to the male correctional center in Freetown Police Constable 14898 Dumbuya J L Prosecuting the matter.
