26yrs old Musa Barkotu has appeared before Magistrate Sahr Keikura of Pademba road court in Freetown on two count charges to wit Impersonation- contrary to section 3 of the Impersonation and unreformed (Amended) by Act No.13 of 1975 and Larceny Contrary section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on the 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2020 at Bonthe town in Bum Chiefdom in Bonthe district the southern region of the republic of Sierra Leone impersonated to be a Captain of the Sierra Leone Armed Force.
It was alleged also that on the 1st July 2020 in Bo town, Kakua Chiefdom in the southern region did steal by trick one Samsung A6 galaxy mobile phone valued two million five hundred thousand Leones (2,500,000.00) property of Jestina Kallon.
The accused person was granted bail in the sum of fifty million Leones or one surety in like sum he/she should be resident in the western Area and should produce identification card bearing his/ her address in Freetown to be approved by the DAR.
At the end of pronouncing the bail the accused person pleaded to the magistrate that he has no relatives residing in Freetown and was therefore remanded at the correctional centre in Freetown.
Inspector I.G. Fofanah prosecuting and the matter has been adjourned to the 19th May 2021.
