26yrs old Mohamed Sillah who stand in trail before the principal magistrate Kekura has been Committed to high court for trail.
The accused was before the court on one count charge of Larceny Servant Contrary to Section 17(1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
Police alleged That you Mohamed Sillah on the 14th April 2021, at TechBiz Internet Cafe at No.13 old Railway Line, BrookFields Freetown, Stole a physical Cash of Africell Money Fraudulently embezzles the whole or any part of a fiscal cash of Africell money of two million two hundred and seventy eight thousand five hundred and fifteen Leones, forty seven cents (Le 2, 278,515, 47) a physical cash of Orange money of nine million two hundred and twenty three thousand four hundred and twenty seven Leones and a separate cash of two million three hundred and ninty five thousand Leones all to the total value of thirteen million eight hundred and ninty six thousand nine hundred and forty two Leones seven cents property of Doris Beah.
Magistrate Kekura in giving his ruling in Court said the accused is charged before the court on two count charges.
The charges were read and explained to the accused persons by the Court Clerk Alie Turay but he did not take his plea because it is preliminary investigation (PI).
Magistrate Kekura said the prosecution in establishing its case against the accused persons called five witnesses in evidence including the formal witness who tenders various exhibits respectively W.C.Iloba Esq who represented the accused cross examined the prosecution witnesses he submitted a No case submission for and on behalf of the accused person.
Magistrate Kekura said having heard the evidence the accused has a case to answer and he committed the matter to the high court for trail.
Bail Continues for the accused person.
