23 years old Amadu Kamara a Masoner made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown and has been remanded for Larceny offence contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the particulars of the offence on Monday 22nd May 2023 at the Blue House back of America Embassy the mountain rural district of the western area of Freetown did steal fifteen lengths 5/8 iron rods, two barrels of empty drum blue colour all to the total value of six thousand one hundred new Leones (6,100) Property of Mohamed Turay.
Inspector Mohamed Kamara led the first Prosecution witness Mohamed Turay a businessman who said he recognised the accused person as he used to work at his site.
The witness recalled on the 22nd of June 2023 he was somewhere when he received a call informing him about what transpired at his site.
At this point, the prosecutor sought a short adjournment date, and the accused person was unrepresented by a legal representative.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional centre in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to the 31st of June 2023 for further hearing.
