22 years old Alpha Amadu Barrie made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at college Road off Congo Cross the western Area in Freetown Stole two Fan, one railway iron, three radiator, one control box, one air conditioner, electrical cable and one Air cleaner oven all to the total value of ten thousand five hundred and fifty Leones (Le 10,550) property of Mohamed Barrie.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.
There was no legal representative for the accused person and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused person to three months imprisonment to the male facility in Freetown including the period spent in detention, while Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay prosecuted the matter.
