A 22-year-old man, Amara Kamara, made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing a charge of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Saturday, 18th October 2025, at around 2:00 p.m. at 14 Aberdeen Road, Wilberforce, in the western area of Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown, the defendant allegedly stole sixty bush (fence) sticks, valued at one thousand five hundred Leones (NLe 1,500), the property of Alhaji Harun.
When the charge was read and explained to him, Kamara pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutor Sergeant 3379 Ballay T. requested a short adjournment to call her first witness. Kamara was not represented by legal counsel at the time.
Magistrate Fornah remanded the defendant and sent him to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown. The case has been adjourned to 27th October 2025 for further proceedings.
