21yrs old Remanded For Wounding with Intent

21yrs old Abubakar Kargbo a baker made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Keikura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1816, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1816 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.

According to the particulars of offence on Friday 17th December 2021 at Beloku Football Field Aberdeen in Freetown the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded and Assaulted Ezekiel Bangura with intent to do him grievous bodily harm

Prosecution witness number one Ezekiel Bangura a Baker said he knew the accused as his colleague Baker.

He said he recalled on the 17th of December 2021 something transpired between himself and the accused person.

 His boss Stefan gave the driver pumping machine and bread machine to take then to Femi Turner driver.

He said himself and the accused loaded the machines into the vehicle and one of their Chairman within the area sent him to take a piece of bread for him to Bluefield. And the accused person ask him where he is heading to and he told him that his boss sent him and the driver to the accused person that if he want to go let him allow him to go.

 Later they started exchanges words to their relatives and the accused push him on the floor he felt pain and one Looker came between them then the accused and the driver went with the machine the accused and the driver returned and the accused told him that he has been to jail he has killed so many people and he is a small boy for him.

 The complainant said he went out from the Bakery and met the accused outside and they started exchanging words and the accused person came close to him he pushed him and the accused took out a broken bottle and stabbed him with it on his side the complainant said he felt pain and blood was oozing from his side.

 He said someone came to his aid and tied his side with a piece of cloth and he was taken to a nearby Arab hospital close to Aberdeen Bridge where he was examined and treated at the said Arab clinic and he was given ten stitches on his side and three stitches his right hand and snap shot of the wound was taken by photographs of the complainant showing the alleged Wounding.

Photographs was produced and tendered  in court as exhibit Z 1-2 and he later made report at Aberdeen police station and he was issued police medical form and he was examined at Connaught Hospital and he returned with the police medical endorsed form.

However the accused person was unrepresented and he did his cross examination by himself.

Magistrate Kekura refused bail and send the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown the matter was adjourned to the 24th January 2022.

Inspector Kadie D Taylor is prosecuting the matter.
