20yrs old Martha Ngevao has made several appearances before magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court in Freetown on three count charges to wit wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offence against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 2 of the offences against the Persons Act of 1861 and Assault Occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offence against the Persons Act of 1861.
According to the charge sheet on the 8th January 2020 at the tennis cut hill station the mountain rural district in Freetown wounded and Assault Mary Yonka Kamara with intent to do her grievous bodily harm.
PW3 DPC 13301 Aminita Carew attached at hill top police station recognized both accused and complainant in court. While on duties on the 8th January 2020 the complainant came in and made a report upon the report DPC 1787Alieu D.E issued police medical form to the complainant and she went to Connaught hospital in Freetown and the complainant later returned with the medical form. On the same date statement was made by the complainant and his witness on the 27th day of March 2020 and the accused was arrested on warrant. She and DPC 18179 Alpha M interview the accused person in krio and it was recorded in English and was recorded and the accused admitted it to be true and correct by affixing her right hand thumb print and she singed as the recorder while DPC Alpha M signed as the witness.
On the 29th day of March 2020 DPC Alpha M charged the accused person with the offence of Wounding with intent, Wounding, and Assault on the said date DPC Alpha M signed as the witness and she signed as the recorder.
Sergeant Musu E Kpuhun is prosecuting the matter adjoined to the 12th May 2021.
