2 Men 40 in 100 Million Theft Case

Two men, Momoh Turay alias ‘Blacka’ and Mustapha Hajie Kalokoh around the ages of 40 years were arraigned in court before Magistrate Sellu Tucker in Freetown court on the 3rd March, 2020 for the offence of conspiracy contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.

According to the case file, the accused persons Momoh Turay alias Blacka and Mustapha Hajie Kalokoh between December, 2020 at No.5 Barist Moijush Drive Juba Hill, Freetown were allegedly  armed with offensive weapons to rob Daniel Moijush of the following:   the sum of twenty million Leones (Le.20,000,000), six thousand United State Dollar ($6,000) equivalence  to the sum of sixty million Leones (Le.60,000,000), one gold necklace value three million Leones (Le.3,000,000), three pair of shoe valued one million five hundred thousand Leones (Le.1,500,000), five Lacoste T-shirt value one million Leone (Le.1,000,000), one I phone 7+ value seven million Leones (Le.7,000,000), one I phone 12 max value twelve million Leone (Le.12,000,000) all to the total sum of one hundred and three million Leones (Le.103,000,000) properties of Daniel Moijush.

The witness that was to testify in the hearing was conspicuously absent in court. However, the lawyer for the two accused persons, J.M. Jengo applied for bail and suggested that bench warrant should be sent to the absent witness.

ASP Hawa Bah is prosecuting for the state, while Esq. J.M. Jengo is defending the accused persons.

Matter adjourned to the 8th March, 2021.
