18yrs-Old Trader Sentenced To 24 Months For Theft

18yrs old Moses Ibrahim Williams a trader made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Monday 12th December 2022 at No.33, Hagar Street the western area in Freetown did steal one L.G mobile phone valued at three hundred and fifty Leones (Le 350, 00) and physical cash of four thousand Leones (Le 4,000) all to the total sum of four hundred and fifty Leones (Le 4, 350, 00) property of Mariama Jalloh.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor told the bench that fact a charge no available records against the accused person.

The accused person was unrepresented but pleaded with the bench to temper justice with mercy.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation by the accused person sentenced him to twenty-four months imprisonment at the male correctional center in Freetown.  Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun prosecuted the matter.
