At the Criminal session at the High court Holden at Freetown on the 31st January 2022 before Justice Komba Kamanda at the Judicial Week a 21yrs old Senesie Mustapha Kargbo alias” Mulla” and 16yrs old Daniel Kamara alias young ‘Dice’ made another appearance on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to Murder contrary to law 4 of the offences against the person Act 1861and Murder.
According to the particulars of offence on the 10th day of January 2017 at Gloucester Village the western area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to Murder Sheku Sesay and on count two the accused persons on the same date at the same place Murdered Sheku Sesay.
The accused persons were represented by A.Kargbo and S.S Pessima Esq from legal Aid Board
The State Prosecution, Yusif Isaac Sesay led three witnesses including the factual witness and the formal witness.
The accused persons changed their plea from not guilty to Guilty.
Justice Kamanda in his ruling said the prosecution has proved its case by establishing all the elements from the evidence in chief the way and manner the deceased was killed and the second accused person has been troublesome at the remand home. He added he had been receiving complaints from the officers at the remand home that the accused person pleaded for mercy. He sentenced the accused persons to twenty years imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
