11 accused persons were found misbehaving at the Milla Group Company, in their compound and they were arrested and charge to court before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No 3, in Freetown, on Monday 11 October 2021, Magistrate Daboh sentenced each accused persons to three (3) months imprisonment or pay a fine of three million Leones to the government of Sierra Leone. The accused persons pleaded guilty to all charges.
It could be recall that all accused including Mustapha Gibrilla, Mohamed Lamin Turay, Ibrahim Conteh, Saidu Thoronka, Abdul Karim Mansaray and 5 others are charged on three (3) counts ranging from riotous conduct contrary to Section 12 of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965 as amended by Section 12 (a) of Act No. 15 of 1973, disorderly behavior contrary to Section 12 (a) of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965 and throwing missile contrary to Section 6 of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965. According to the charge sheet on count 1, all accused persons on Monday 20th September 2021, at Jamata, Bai Bureh Road, Freetown, behaved in a riotous manner.
Count 2 states that all accused on the same date and place were found behaving in a disorderly manner. Count 3 further state that all accused on the same date and place were found throwing missiles at Milla Group Company Compound.
ASP Jeneba Bangura prosecuted the matter.
