Her Excellency Madam Fatima Jabbie Bio has recently joined the Sierra Leone Entertainment Industry in a heartfelt plea for the release of Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as “LAJ.” This appeal was conveyed through a special Christmas treat video addressed to President Bio on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
During the video message, H.E. Fatima Bio earnestly implored President Bio to consider exercising clemency and granting a pardon for the release of LAJ, particularly during this festive season. She emphasized the artist’s significant contributions to the Afro Hip Hop genre and the broader entertainment industry in Sierra Leone. Madam Fatima Bio kindly urged her husband, President Bio, to extend mercy and forgiveness to LAJ.
The plea was not limited to Madam Fatima Bio; it also featured the President of Sierra Leone Entertainment, Amara Denis Turay, widely known as “Kao D Nero.” Alongside other prominent artists, DJs, and filmmakers, they collectively expressed their support for LAJ’s release. In their statements, they highlighted LAJ’s influential role in the entertainment sector and conveyed their belief that he would learn from his past actions during his time at the correctional center.
The video message, filled with sincerity and empathy, sought to appeal to the President’s compassion and understanding, presenting LAJ’s potential for redemption and positive contributions to society.
