ACTB Bank, previously known as ACTB Loans & Savings, has officially launched a new promotional campaign themed “Save and Win Promo Kip now, Get more Tumara” at their head office in Freetown. The launch marks a significant milestone as the bank transitions from a microfinance institution to a fully licensed banking entity under the Bank of Sierra Leone.

Rockslyn A. Findlay, the Marketing Manager, addressed the press at the event, expressing enthusiasm for the new promotion. “Witnessing the launch of the ‘SAVE & WIN’ promo today is a testament to our ongoing commitment to reward our clients. As a microfinance firm operating in Sierra Leone for 14 years, we have now evolved into a legitimate banking institution, and this promotion is one of many initiatives we are embarking on this year,” Findlay stated. The promotion will run from June 10, 2024, to January 31, 2025.

The Chief Operating Officer, Idrissa Sesay, elaborated on the terms and conditions of the promotion. “The grand draw will take place in January, with monthly draws from June to December offering prizes such as TV sets, mobile phones, refrigerators, DSTV subscriptions, Bluetooth speakers, and a brand-new SUV with 0 mileage,” Sesay explained. To qualify, customers must deposit NLE 5000 each month without making withdrawals. The promotion is open to all new and existing customers aged 18 and above, excluding bank staff and their immediate family members, as well as corporate and employee accounts.

Sesay emphasized the broader goal of the promotion: “Our purpose is to encourage a habit of saving among people, many of whom are currently unbanked. By offering these incentives, we hope to demonstrate the tangible benefits of maintaining a savings account.”

David Kamara, the Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the bank’s strategic shift and its alignment with national financial inclusion goals. “ACTB has been known primarily for credit services, but we are now establishing our presence in the wider market. Our theme for the past five years has been financial inclusion, and this promo is a natural extension of that mission. We aim to inculcate a saving habit among our customers, providing them opportunities to win prizes, including the brand-new SUV.”

Kamara also mentioned that the SUV, described by the Marketing Manager as offering “comfort, reliability, and prestige,” will be displayed across Freetown and the bank’s 12 branches nationwide. He assured that the bank would continue with robust nationwide marketing and sensitization efforts.

The “Save and Win Promo Kip now, Get more Tumara” is designed to showcase ACTB Bank’s dedication to its customers and to foster loyalty. By encouraging savings, the bank hopes to enhance financial security and inclusivity for Sierra Leoneans.

For more information on how to participate in the promotion, customers are encouraged to visit any ACTB Bank branch or contact their customer service representatives.
